Porcelain Veneers

A problem-free smile is a goal worth working toward, but everyone also wants to look great. When you know you look your best, your confidence soars, making you appear even more attractive and drawing others to you.

We love creating smile makeovers at OrthoGrace Dental! Whether you want to change the appearance of a few teeth or would like to talk to us about a total transformation, porcelain veneers may be just the solution you need!

Veneers – A Versatile Smile Solution

Veneers cover the surface of your tooth and can hide numerous cosmetic dental flaws. We use veneers to:

  • Make a crooked smile look straighter
  • Close uneven gaps and spacing between teeth
  • Hide chipped or broken teeth
  • Cover severely stained teeth that can’t be whitened
  • Resurface damaged or worn dental enamel
  • Restore a harmonious appearance

You are unique, and no one has the same needs you do. We respect that, so your smile makeover is designed just for you. You may only need one or two veneers to get the look you want, or we can create a full set of veneers for a total transformation.

Choosing Porcelain Veneers

Before he decides if veneers are right for you, Dr. Joe Medellin will spend some time talking to you about your needs. If you are considering a smile makeover, here are a few questions to think about before your smile consultation:

  • What problem is bothering you?
  • What are your expectations for the final result?
  • How would you like us to help you?
  • Do you have a particular treatment in mind?

Understanding what your goals are before we start will help us plan a smile makeover that meets and even exceeds your expectations!

The Veneers Process

Placing porcelain veneers isn’t very complicated, and we can usually complete the process in two to three visits to our office.

The first step is to prepare your teeth by removing a small amount of enamel. This allows the veneer to fit naturally along your gum line and not look bulky. We then take impressions of your teeth, which we send to the dental lab where your veneers are created.

When your new veneers are ready, we will have you return to our office so we can place them on your teeth. Each veneer is checked for fit and appearance, and then bonded to your tooth and polished.

You must be careful with your new veneers because you don’t want to chip them. Don’t chew on ice and avoid biting down on hard or crunchy foods. You must keep up with routine exams and cleaning appointments to make sure the teeth beneath the veneers stay healthy. With proper care, a veneer can last as long as twenty years!
